 Holiday Ministry Opportunities
Longview Heights is actively working in our community to demonstrate Christ like love to our neighbors. The information below is a partial list of some of the holiday ministry opportunities in our community. If you would like more information about any of these activities or would like to volunteer, please email Bro. Mark Cantrell at mcantrell@longviewheights.org.
Operation Christmas Child
November 13 in morning service. Brochures for how to put together a shoebox are in the Event Centers.
Operation Christmas Child Relay Center
November 14-21. We need volunteers to prepare shoeboxes from our area for transport. Sign up in the West Events Center, or contact Alan Wilson or Beverly Campbell at 662-895-1901.
Thanksgiving Friendship Feast
Do you know somebody who has no family close by and can't go home for Thanksgiving? Someone who might be spending this Thanksgiving alone? If so, bring them to the Friendship Feast this Thanksgiving Day at noon in the Fellowship Hall. Please make reservations at the West event counter in the worship lobby.
Good News Christmas Club Celebration
Every Saturday our church is involved in a great outreach ministry in a local housing complex called "Good News Clubs." This year we will provide Christmas gifts for some of the children that attend our Good News Clubs. We need donations to help purchase these gifts. We also need folks that would help shop, pack, and distribute these gifts! If you'd like to help, email mcantrell@longviewheights.org.
Navajo Reservation Christmas
Each year, LHBC members travel to Arizona and minister to children on a Navajo Reservation. You can help by donating gifts for the trip! For additional information about what is needed, stop by the toy collection box at the West Event Counter.
