A Personal Message from Pastor Wayne

Welcome!

I am glad you are taking the time to check up on Longview Heights Baptist Church. We want you to do so because we believe that God is doing a continually fresh work of His Spirit in our congregation. We have seen our precious Lord change lives through restoring marriages, calling people to the ministry and mission field, encouraging children, and involving the church family in life changing ministry both inside and outside the church walls.

Are we perfect? NO WAY!

Do we long to serve Jesus? IN EVERY WAY!

We are grateful to be a part of the great commission, reaching the world from 4501 Goodman Road. Our ministry involves new church plants, missions at home and around the world, recovery ministries, and special needs ministries. In addition, we believe in Sunday School (small groups) where everyone can know someone and every member can be accounted for in times of joy, need, or hurt. Couple that with a blended worship style and you have the ingredients for vibrant worship, victorious walk, and visionary work.

People Matter to God

Every church has slogans. Longview Heights is no exception. The one that stays in the forefront of everything we do is "People Matter to God."

How do we know? "For God so loved the world"--that's you and me--"that He gave His only begotten Son"--that's Jesus--"that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).

Since God loves you, you matter to God. And because we love God, you matter to us.

We're a church filled with people who have discovered that God loves them, and that Jesus came to give them everlasting life. That's what we celebrate when we meet together.

What We Believe

Longview Heights is a Southern Baptist Church that's a member of the X-tended Missions Network of Northwest Mississippi. Our beliefs follow the Baptist Faith and Message as amended in 2000. Click here if you want to know more.

When We Meet (and why)

Longview Heights meets for large-group worship in our worship center on Sundays at 10:30am. We sing to the Lord in celebration in a refreshing blend of hymns and choruses. We gather to listen to God's Word, respond to God's leading, and apply God's truth to our lives. We provide a nursery for children birth through five years. We also have a "family room" adjacent to our worship center with our service on-screen for those needing a more separated setting. God has also blessed us with a ministry to those with special needs and their families.

Don't stress over what to wear to Longview Heights--think "business casual." Remember, people matter to God, not what you wear.

Longview believes in small-group ministry, too. We have caring Sunday School classes for all ages and life situations. Join us at 9:00am. Click here for more information on our Sunday School groups and classes.

You'll find us at 4501 Goodman Road, Olive Branch, between Malone and Pleasant Hill Roads.

We're not hard to find, but you can get precise directions to our campus with this Google map.

You'll find ample guest parking on the east and west sides of the building. If you have preschool-or-younger kids, park close to the preschool area on the west side of campus.

Just walk in to any main entrance, and you'll find a Welcome Center. We'll be glad to meet you and help you find what you're looking for!
