 Howdy Pardner!
Welcome to Longview Heights Baptist Vacation Bible School! Our theme this year is “Saddle Ridge Ranch: Roundin’ Up Questions, Drivin’ Home Answers.” Children have a lot of questions about themselves and God and this year, they will get answers to some of those questions! They will discover answers to questions like “Who Am I?” and “Does God Care About Me?” Our theme verse is James 1:5: “Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him.”
Your child will have an event-filled week that includes Bible Study, worship, crafts, music, snacks, missions, and recreation. Our prayer is that your child will have a life-changing experience. 5th Graders! It’s not your normal VBS...
Parents, if you have a child that has completed 5th grade by the end of the 2009-2010 school year, take them to The Heights each morning by 9:00am. The Heights is our Youth Ministry area located on the 2nd floor above our Sanctuary. They will have their own special time of Bible Study, activities, Worship and more!
Come join us for an eXciting time with our VBX crew! They will guide you on Monday morning as to where your preteen will go each day. They will be picked up in The Heights at noon each day.
REGISTRATION
Pre-registration is the way to go! You can register now at www.longviewheights.org. If you are unable to register online, you can call our church office at 662-895-1900 and ask for Beverly. She will be more than happy to assist you! By pre-registering, you will be able to avoid long lines on Monday and be able to go straight to your child’s assigned area. Class assignments will be available on the evening on June 6 after our evening services.
MONDAY REGISTRATION
Mondays are always crazy days! To make it a bit easier for you, we have listed the procedures to follow when you bring your child on that first day.
Registration will take place in the lobby of our Worship Building. Tables will be marked for those who have pre-registered and for those that have not yet registered. If you have pre-registered, you will go to the designated table to pick up your child’s nametag that will have his/her class assignment on it. Nametags will be listed alphabetically by last name. You will also receive a map of the facilities so you will know where to pick them up at noon. Teachers will be in the sanctuary with signs with your class number on it. Take your child to the proper row.
If you have not registered, go to the designated table to be assigned a class. Once you are assigned a class, take your child to the sanctuary and find his/her row. You will also receive a facility map locating your child’s class so you will know where to pick them up at the end of the day.
SUNDAY FAMILY NIGHT
Family Night will begin at 6:00pm on June 13 in the Sanctuary. Your child will need to be in their row with their class by 5:45pm. Rows will be marked for where they are to sit . Please have them wear their VBS t-shirt if they have one. After the service, you will need to pick them up immediately from their row. We will have a time for refreshments in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. Join us that evening as we celebrate all that went on during the week of VBS and see what your child did throughout the week!
OTHER IMPORTANT INFO
Please bring your child to the church no later than 8:50am to begin our Worship Rally. Please feel free to stay and worship with us! Pick-up is at 12:00pm. Please wait outside your child’s room until the teacher opens the door as they are finishing their closing Bible Study. Children must stay in the class assigned to them. They are divided by age in preschool and by grade for 1st-5th graders. Children will only be able to leave with those listed on your registration form. T-shirts are available for purchase for $8 and Music CD’s for $5.00
