until He comes.... GO

We exist...

to motivate every attendee to worship God when they come to our weekly gatherings.

Our purpose...

is to glorify God by leading our church with praise that reflects who God truly is and what He has done in our lives.

Our praise...

reflects our continued desire to know God and is passed on as we train those set apart for music, sound, and technical ministry in the church.

Opportunities are yours...

to serve in the Music and Media Ministry of Longview Heights.  Contact one of our staff at right, or let us know on the Starting Point page of our website.

THE CELEBRATION CHOIR...

aids in leading our congregation in worship each Sunday as well as special programs throughout the year.  There are also several opportunities throughout the year for small group fellowships.  Rehearsals are held each Wednesday evening from 7:15-8:30pm in the choir room.

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC...

plays an important role in leading worship for each service.  Each orchestra member is dedicated to using their talents to bring glory and honor to the Father.  Striving to sharpen their skills, they meet for weekly rehearsals on Wednesday nights in the Worship Center from 7:15-8:30pm to go through music for Sunday services as well as learn new music.

AUDIO/VISUAL MINISTRY TEAM...

is a vital part of the worship ministry at LHBC.  The A/V team helps make each worship service and special program run smoothly.  They run live and recorded sound and video as well as projection and lighting during each service and special program.  It's the behind-the-scenes work that is a crucial part of our ministry.  If you are interested in serving in this ministry, please contact Bro. Blake in the Music office at blake@longviewheights.org.

THE SINGIN’ SAINTS...

is our choir for senior adults.  It meets weekly on Tuesday mornings from 10:00-11:00am in the choir room.  Aside from leading worship on occasion in Sunday services, the Singin’ Saints minister to others by visiting local area nursing homes to share in song.

WOW 4.0...

Kids learning to love God with their Heart, Soul Mind and Strength (Mark 12:30) aims to teach children to praise the Lord through developing their voices and providing a fun way to worship through singing, drama devotions and small group activities.  Open to all children in grades 1-6 and special needs students, WOW 4.0 meets during our Sunday evening Fusion labs.  This ministry is offered on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:00pm.  Seasonal musicals are presented twice a year in the spring and at Christmas.  Come and be a part of the fun!  Check out our Facebook group WOW 4.0 for weekly details.

REFUGE...

is student led worship for 7th-12th grade.  Each student ministry area has a praise band that consists of students who are learning to hone and use their musical skills to lead in worship.  Each band meets on Sunday afternoons 4:15-5:30pm for rehearsal and then leads worship for their perspective areas on Wednesday nights.  It is ongoing dynamic discipleship for our worship leaders of the future.

YOUTH VOCAL ENSEMBLES...

are made up of students grades 7-12 and meet on Sunday evenings from 7-8pm.   Music reading, blend, and worship leading are all emphasized as we seek to develop future worship leaders.

PRIVATE MUSIC INSTRUCTION...

from a select group of private music instructors is avaiablle through our ministry.   Music teachers must be active members of Longview Heights and active participants in the music ministry.  Available lessons include guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano, violin, saxophone, and voice.  Lessons are offered in private, 30 minutes per week.  Lesson terms and payment arrangements are made between the teacher and the student, however the average cost is $80 monthly.  For more information contact Debbie Grear at the church office at dgrear@longviewheights.org.
