The Journey
When on a journey, you always have a destination, mile markers along the way, & hazards that get hinder your progress. We are trying to look at your student’s time in LHBC Student Ministry as a journey as well. Their destination? A Christ-following young adult who is equipped with the tools and foundation to live a life that is glorifying to their Savior. Throughout our time together, we will be presenting you with mile markers and hazards that you should be aware of for your student’s journey. Our prayer is that we can come alongside you so that your student can truly fulfill the plan God has for their life. Our staff is so excited to take this journey with you! Real World Parenting
We are here to partner with you as you try to raise your teens in the ways of the Lord. We are offering parent only events throughout the year. The purpose of these events will be to help you deal with real world parenting issues and to deepen the partnership we have with you as you lead your teen.
We are here to partner with you as you try to raise your teens in the ways of the Lord. We are offering parent only events throughout the year. The purpose of these events will be to help you deal with real world parenting issues and to deepen the partnership we have with you as you lead your teen.
- Wednesday, April 12-6:30pm in The Heights... Parenting in the Trenches: Teaching children biblical gender roles in all of life. Helping students see not only that God made male and female, but that He did so for a specific purpose.
- Wednesday, May 3-6:30pm in The Heights.... Parenting for Your Child’s Heart: How to speak to the heart of your child. The things your child does and says flow from their heart. Luke 6:45 says “...out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.”
- Wednesday, August 16-6:30pm in The Heights..... Missional Parenting: Ps. 127:4 says, “Like arrows in the hand of a warrior so are the children of one’s youth.” Arrows were made to fly. They can’t sit safely in the quiver or rest on the bow forever. They must be released! That’s what our preparation is ultimately for—to release our children into the world equipped with the gospel of Jesus Christ to serve people for God’s glory.
